Create, save & delete items

Select the New item function from the File menu, or use the corresponding shortcut key: Ctrl+Shift+N.
Select the item-type that you want to create from the drop down list.

 

Each key object menu item has its own Views menu, containing mainly keyobject relation views.

The Views menu and the Controls menu collect single keyobject views.

Open a view via the Views menu or the Controls menu. (The picture shows the risks view opened).

 

Click on the New icon or use the corresponding shortcut Ctrl+N
An empty cell at the bottom of the view will have the cursor.

Type the name of the risk you want to create.

Save the risk (Ctrl-S or Save button ).

Double click the row to open the (already existing) risk and show all item details that can be changed.

 

 

Example shows bulk creation of involved person risk relations by copying and pasting from MS Excel.

• Copy the values from excel:
  
• Open the involved person risk relation table view.
• The order of the columns in Excel and CSI Accelerator must be the same, drag the columns so the column sequence is the same.
  (involved person name, type and risk)
  
• Create new line (type Ctrl+N or click the New icon)
• Paste the Excel data in CSI Accelerator (type Ctrl+V or click the Pasteicon)
• The fields are pasted in the involved person risk relation table view.
• Don't forget to save the changes to the database.

 

Note:
The values are inserted in the view, when a pasted value identifies more than one row the select form will display automatically, so the correct item can be selected.
Values that are incomplete like "acc" will automatically be translated to "Accountable" when there is no other possibility.

 

Use the Import from excel wizard to import excel sheet data into library views or relation views.

 

Throughout CSI Accelerator you can save items by using one of the following options: 

 

• Shortcut: Ctrl+S.
• Select the Saveoption from the File .
• Or use the Save icon located on the toolbar of the active window if this option is available.

 

Tip: If you have an item window open and the item has name/alias fields you can simply press enter when in the cursor is in one of them.

 

Note:
In some cases the application does a check for duplicate naming, a warning will be displayed but you can still save the item anyway.

 

Throughout CSI Accelerator you can delete items by first selecting them and using one of the following options:

 

• Shortcut: Ctrl+D.
• Select the Delete option from the Edit menu
• Use the Delete icon located on the toolbar of the active window (if available).
• Use the Delete button on your keyboard to delete selected rows from a grid overview or any other grid.

 

Tip: Delete multiple items at once
Use Ctrl, Shift or Ctrl+Shift button to select multiple items.
When pressing delete, a confirmation message box is displayed. Activate the check box to prevent further message boxes to be displayed.
